Our friendly and knowledgeable staff is always here to help you find just what you need, whether you're a beginner or an experienced quilter. So, come on in and explore our service and product selection, and let us help you bring your quilting vision to life.
1. Frame Loading Requirements: to properly load your quilt onto the quilting frame, your backing and batting must be 4-inches larger on all four sides than the pieced quilt top. Example: a 50”x 60” quilt top requires 58”x 68” backing and batting.
2. Direction: if the top / backing is directional, place a safety pin on the “top” of each piece.
3. Backing: backing should be squared and the top and bottom edges cut evenly. If a pieced backing needs to be aligned in a specific way, make note on the order form. It is nearly impossible to align the top and back in both directions as the top shrinks as it is quilted (2-10% in one direction).
4. Trim: all threads must be trimmed and loose threads removed, especially darker thread that may show through adjacent lighter fabrics.
5. Press: quilt top / backing must be flat and well pressed; no loose applique, embellishments, etc.
~
Please note, machine quilting will not “fix” problem areas of your quilt. Your quilt will be quilted in the condition it is received and will be as free of tucks, pleats and puckers as the quilt piecing allows.
Some accommodations can be made to “fix” problem areas. We will contact you before completing the work should additional charges be required.
1. Borders: If your borders/edges are wavy and can’t be “eased” into a straighter state, a pleat will be taken in the least visible location. Borders can be removed, fixed and replaced for an additional charge.
2. Thread: If you check “blend” on the order form for the Edge-to-Edge (E2E) thread and there is a lot of contrast in the colors used in the quilt top, we will use the predominant color. Variegated thread can also be used to blend if in stock or can be purchased for an additional charge.
3. T-shirts / Polyester: MUST be stabilized on the back with iron-on fusible interfacing. We cannot guarantee that the long arm foot will not drag the knit fabric and “quilt in” wrinkles.
4. Embroidery / Applique: Both will be quilted over with the E2E panto. Currently, we do not accept custom quilting or “sew around” work.
5. Flange: An E2E panto cannot be used over an accent border with a flange edge. The E2E pattern will be centered over the top and a custom border will be required for an additional charge.
Choose your long-arm E2E panto to compliment your quilt or project! Email us for recommendations or check ISWAH Choice on the Quilt Finishing Services Order Form found on the Reservation page.

We routinely expect a 4-week turnaround time for most quilting services. In the event there is an anticipated delay or extension of the time needed to complete your quilt; we will communicate this to you in advance. (ex-Summer/Winter Holiday Breaks & Rushes)
Your project will be received in a weatherproof drop box. We will notify you by email within one week of your project’s arrival that it has been received and whether we have additional questions. We suggest you pack your quilt top, backing, batting/binding (if applicable) and order form in watertight packaging (oversized zip-lock works great) before placing in a box for shipping or placing in the drop box.
We don’t have a preferred shipping service provider for quilts/projects being sent to us. If using USPS, Insurance and Extra Services are available to help ensure your delivery arrives as expected. We will ship to you using USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate unless you specify otherwise. The address on the invoice you receive via email is the address we will use for return shipping. Extra insurance and special requests for returning the quilt/project should be communicated via email. Invoices will be updated with added expenses prior to payment.
We will send an invoice and payment instructions to the email listed on your order form. Once the invoice is paid, we will have your quilt/project in the mail or ready for pickup within 3-5 business days.
We accept cash, check or Venmo.
